We work with comic books and magazines in most formats, both modern and vintage. Square bound, saddle stitched, oversized, domestic or foreign—we have experience working with a broad range of paper stocks, cover materials, bindings, and manufacturing methods.
Whether you're preparing a modern book for grading or looking to improve the presentation of an older collectible, we'll evaluate what can be safely improved before beginning work.
MANGA
Manga is a specialty of Ricketts Pressing. We accept both Zasshi (Japanese manga magazines) and Tankobon (collected manga volumes), including publications in Japanese, English, and other languages.
These formats can present very different challenges than traditional American comic books—from bindings and paper stocks to coatings, inks, and manufacturing defects. Our approach takes those differences into account rather than treating every publication the same.
